# Scalable Shard Chains

A developer can build games on top of Viide that grows its user-base massively without scalability concerns.

Decentralized storage uses on-chain consensus to keep storage integrity. Transaction volume grows with an increased number of NFT & user data. A blockchain’s limited TPS throughput can severely constrain the amount of storage capacity it can handle.

Viide adopts a sharding mechanism to allow horizontal scaling of on-chain transaction throughput to support Exa-byte data.
